Cherry Hinton High Street of Yesteryear - The 2027 Cherry Hinton Calendar

I was delighted to help the Cherry Hinton Hub put together their 2027 calendar, exploring the history of Cherry Hinton High Street through old photographs and local history.

Here’s the post about it from Cherry Hinton Community Benefit Society / Cherry Hinton Hub:

Our Cherry Hinton 2027 calendar is in stock! It's a bit different to our previous editions, where we asked residents to send in their favourite photos.

This year, we worked with Michelle Bullivant - Archaeological & Historical Consultant to take you on a trip down Cherry Hinton High Street of yesteryear.

- What did the Robin Hood pub look like in the 50s?

- Where was the Hopbine beer house?

- Where could you find Ling's Sweet Shop?

All these questions and more will be answered!

You can get your copy of the calendar from The Cambridge Building Society on Rectory Terrace or from The Cherry Branch café at the hub (the café is open until Wednesday 30th September, before closing temporarily).

Calendars are £7.50.

All money raised will support the Cherry Hinton Community Benefit Society (a charity of local volunteers) in providing the café and meeting rooms for the community.

Thank you for supporting the hub!
