Ichthyosaur Vertebrae Fossil Ely
Ichthyosaurus spine disk - I’ve been meaning to show you all this find for a while now. It is heavy and solid and has a depression either side and was one of my first really cool finds before I became an archaeologist. Now really I guess this is in the realms of paleontology rather than archaeology but at the time, when I found it I had no clue what it was and seeing it laying in the mud on the field surface, I at first thought it was an ashtray or something!……
