The History and Archaeology of the site known as 'Giant's Grave' or 'Spring Head' Cherry Hinton
by 2XL Parent Support Group and students of St Bede's School
The 2XL Archaeology Project is a 12-month project studying the history, archaeology, geology and natural history of a site in Cherry Hinton known as 'Giant's Grave'. The aim of the project as a whole is to summarise the findings in a printed leaflet, which will be distrubuted locally; and to produce a permanent site display board showing items of interest, which may be of benefit to future visitors of the site.
The project encompasses the extensive study of a small public park. It is variously known as 'Giant's Grave', 'The Spring', 'Springhead', and 'Robin Hood Dip'...........
