This is a strange feature, a bricked section within a tree trunk in the Cambridge Botanical Gardens.
This is the school my granny (Connie Toller nee Broom) - now 95 years old - went to with her older brother Russ. It hs now been converted into flats but the is a small modern school next door.

A wonderful find of some old clunch blocks still retained within a brick wall, just off of Hills Road, Cambridge. You can see St Paul's Church in the background.
